What is Ayushman Bharat Mission?

The Prime Minister has presented the AYUSHMAN BHARAT DIGITAL MISSION to the nation as part of the implementation of the Digital Health Identity Card in the country. The mission envisages the issuance of Digital Health Cards to all citizens and the coordination of medical records. The scheme is implemented to ensure the privacy of individuals and the security of health records. Here is how to apply Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission online.

Here we are explaining, how can apply for Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Health Card online

There are two ways we can apply to generate this Digital Health Card. One with the Aadhaar card and the other with the mobile number. In this, we will first look at how to generate a Digital Health Card using the Aadhaar card.

1. Way to Generate Digital Health Card ID by Using Aadhar Card

Clicking on this Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission official website link (Digital Health Card) will open the site. Click on 'Create your Health ID now'. Then you will come to another page called 'Create your Health ID'. There we can generate a Digital Health Card through Aadhaar by clicking on 'Generate via Aadhaar' under Generate your Health ID.

Clicking on Generate via Aadhaar will open another window. Type your Aadhaar number correctly at the top. Just below are its conditions‌. Definitely, a must-read for everyone.

Then tick I Agree. Also tick I'm not a robot below. Then click on the Submit button. Once submitted, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile, ie the mobile number linked to Aadhaar. Type the OTP there and click the Submit button.

Now you need to write your mobile number again. There will be an OTP again. Type it and click the Submit button. Then you will come to another page. There is information in your Aadhaar will come as autofill.

None of this we can edit. Here the date and month of the date of birth will be blank, showing only the year, but we cannot edit it. When it comes down to it, we can fill in the rest.

The PHR (Personal Health Records) address should be given below. This will act as your health ID number. You can create your own health ID number. Your name or any other username can be given as an ID.

Then enter your Email ID, your address, and then select the state of Kerala. Then we have to upload our photo at the top of this page. You need to upload a photo in JPEG format below 30kb in size. After uploading the photo, you can scroll down and submit it.

When you submit, you will get a message saying Your Digital Health ID card has been generated. There you will get the ID Card with your photo and ID Card number. Below that, there is an option to download. It can be downloaded by clicking on 'Download Health ID Card'. It can then be printed, laminated, and used. Here we get an ID card with a photo and number.

Now let us see how to generate a health card using a mobile other than Aadhaar.

2. Way to Generate Digital Health Card ID by Using Mobile Phone

For that, we go back to the Home page. Click on 'Create your Health ID now'. Then you will come to another page called 'Create your Health ID'. Below Generate via Aadhaar there is an option "Click here". This is an opportunity for those who do not have Aadhaar or do not want to use Aadhaar, or who do not have a link between mobile and Aadhaar to get a Health card. Click on it. Then a page will open,

In it, click on Generate via Mobile. 

Next, you have to give your mobile number (instead of Aadhar number) and its conditions are immediately below. Definitely, a must-read for everyone. Then tick I Agree. Also tick I'm not a robot below. 

Then click on the Submit button. Once submitted, a 6 digit OTP will be sent to your mobile. Type the OTP there and click the Submit button.

Then on the next page, as we have given earlier here, we have the facility to type all the information. If your name and date of birth have already been auto-filled in the case of Aadhaar, you can type your name and other details here and correct them yourselves.

Then you need to enter a password. You need a good and strong password to enter. The password should be confirmed again the same as the one given in the first column. After that, we have to give the address and then select the state of Kerala and also whatever your district is. 

You can submit it after giving all these details. Once submitted, another window will open, on this page the message will show that you have successfully created your Digital Health ID. But there is one thing that is different from taking an Aadhaar card, that our photo does not come with it. 

All we have to do is click on the My Account tab on the left-hand side and then click on Edit Profile. Then there is an option to upload a photo. You need to upload a JPEG format photo of 30kb size between 150 and 200 pixels. As mentioned earlier, you can upload your photo and download your Digital Health ID card.

After uploading the photo, you can come down and click on the submit button. Once submitted, you will see the Digital Health ID card with your photo and number as before. It can be downloaded and stored on mobile or computer. Then you can take a print of it and use it after laminating.

Also on the left side, there is an option called My Health ID QR Code, from where you can get the QR Code of your Digital Health ID card. In addition, you can see some other options along with the edit profile. There is an option to set a password and you can reset your password if you wish. Then also there is an option to update your mobile number and you can update your mobile number here.

Then there is the option of Complete KYC Verification. This will allow you to do KYC verification. Below that you can deactivate or delete your Digital Health ID card if you wish. If you click on My Benefits at the bottom, you will get the benefits of this health card.
